Meet Dr. Ryan Schumacher

Changing Lives, One Smile at a Time

I truly enjoy practicing orthodontics and believe this is the work I was meant to do. I feel incredibly blessed—through the support of family, friends, and meaningful past experiences—to be where I am today. These influences have shaped both who I am and the values that guide my practice.

As an orthodontist, I have the opportunity to transform lives. A confident, healthy smile empowers people to engage more freely—with friends, in front of a camera, or when meeting someone new. My goal for every patient is not only a beautiful smile, but also a healthy, functional bite that lasts a lifetime.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my job is building relationships with my patients. I enjoy learning who they are and what makes them unique. Watching someone evolve from feeling self-conscious to radiating confidence is what makes this work so rewarding. It's why I come to work each day with purpose and excitement.

Education and Continuing Education

Each year I complete many hours of continuing education, through conferences, study clubs and online courses. My goal is to provide the highest level of personalized orthodontic treatment possible. Staying at the forefront of advancements ensures my patients receive the highest quality of care.

Personal Life

As the middle child in a family of seven, I grew up on a farm in rural Illinois, where I learned early on that hard work pays off.  Being part of a close-knit community instilled in me a deep appreciation for looking out for others and the value of mutual care. I truly lived the phrase, 'It takes a village to raise a child,' and I carry that mindset into my practice today. I strive to be a positive influence in each patient’s life, providing care that reflects the values I was raised with.

I now live just a few miles from my office and truly enjoy the beach lifestyle and sense of community. My wife and I feel fortunate to be raising our family here, surrounded by such a vibrant and welcoming environment. We've been blessed with three amazing children, and our two dogs, Buster and Laia, bring even more joy and energy to our home—they truly complete our family.

When not working, I enjoy time with family and friends. I love being on the water: boating, paddle boarding, offshore fishing, and snorkeling. I appreciate local Florida art festivals, golf, tennis, sports, and the attractions in Orlando.

I am an active member in my church and small group Bible study. My wife and I support many local charities, but we are most passionate about helping local children have more opportunities and better lives.
